While I’ve been a writer for years, I’m officially taking the plunge into the full life of an author. I’m nervous and excited (or as my daughter would say, “nervouscited”). I have a completed manuscript for a middle grade novel, and I’m now learning that working toward publication is a lot more complicated—and rewarding—than I ever expected.

I’m discovering what the life of a writer really looks like, which is where this page comes in. I’ll be sharing what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. My hope and dream is that you’ll join me as this first manuscript journeys toward publication—and then stick around to see more stories come to life.
